The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has started the process of registration for the UPPSC PCS Mains Examination 2024 officially. Those who have passed the preliminary round are required to finish their registration process on or before March 24, 2025, in order to get shortlisted for the upcoming mains examination. As per the official notice, a total of 15,066 candidates have made it to the Mains level.
The process of applying involves applicants logging into the UPPSC official website and completing the details. They will have to supply educational details as well as uploading documents in support of their information, such as Class X, Class XII, and graduation degrees. The documents need to be in the Commission-provided format and size in order to be successfully applied. Aspirants are also requested to recheck their submissions before final submission, as a single mistake could disqualify them. The initial results that decided Mains eligibility were announced on February 28, leaving successful aspirants with little time to fill in the registration process.
The candidates must approach the official UPPSC website and find the specific notification for the Mains exam. By clicking the specific link, they are able to download the application form. After logging into their dashboard, they need to fill up all the obligatory details, pay the examination fee, and submit the form. It is advisable that the candidates retain a copy of their application form for future use, as it might be needed at subsequent stages of the selection process.
The UPPSC PCS Mains Examination is to be held on June 29, 2025. This is an important stage because only candidates who clear it will proceed to the last round of selection—the interview round. UPPSC PCS selection has three stages: Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and Interview. The first exam, conducted earlier in 75 districts, was taken in two shifts: one between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM and the other between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM. It consisted of two papers: General Studies Paper 1 and CSAT (Paper 2).
Those who pass the Mains exam will be invited for the interview round, which is the last barrier to obtaining a government job in Uttar Pradesh. The interview round not only tests candidates’ knowledge but also their personality, decision-making skills, and administrative capabilities.
In a different press release, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) also made a list of disallowed applications for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2024 available. The list, now accessible on the UPSC official website, contains the names of 43 applicants whose applications were disallowed due to non-receipt of the application fee of Rs 100 from their respective banks. Candidates who have registered for the UPSC Civil Services Exam are advised to verify the status of their application online and confirm that the registration has been done successfully.
As the UPPSC Mains exam draws near, aspirants must remain in touch with all official announcements and prepare well for the test. Due to the competitive nature of the selection process, candidates need to keep conceptual clarity and efficient time management parallel goals. The UPPSC official website will further release relevant information, and aspirants must remain attentive towards any fresh announcements on the examination schedule or guidelines.
