Birla Global University Opens Applications for New MBA in Business Analytics

Share

Birla Global University has opened applications for the first batch of its MBA in Business Analytics programme for the 2026–28 academic session, as demand for data-focused roles continues to rise across industries.

The two-year, full-time course has been designed and will be delivered in collaboration with KPMG. The university said around 30 percent of the modules will be taught by KPMG professionals, giving students direct exposure to industry practices.

The programme will be run by the Birla School of Management and will cover areas such as data analytics, machine learning, business intelligence and decision sciences. It aims to prepare students for roles across consulting, finance, marketing, operations and IT.

University officials said the course is aligned with the broader direction of the National Education Policy, with a focus on interdisciplinary learning and practical exposure. Teaching will include case studies, live projects and internships, alongside classroom sessions.

Vice Chancellor Kulbhushan Balooni said the goal is to train students to use data for decision-making in a business setting. “Leaders today need to understand data and turn it into insights that drive outcomes,” he said.

Admissions will be based on national entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT and MAT. Candidates without these scores can apply through the university’s own entrance test, followed by a written test and interview.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percent marks. The last date to apply is August 11.
