GGSIPU Partners Up With Poland University

AGH University of Science and technology, Poland has agreed to collaborate with GGSIPU in the field of academics, research and innovation. The officials, Prof Marek Dudek, Dean of the Faculty of Management, along with Prof Dariusz Cichon and Prof Dariusz Sala exchanged ideas and explored the potential areas of mutual collaboration.
Prof Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU briefed about the engagement of entrepreneurs at the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) at different stages. He emphasised the need for looking into solutions to different ideas and concepts from a scientific and business point of view. New age problems, need adaptive solutions. We are grappling with different issues like climate change, urbanisation, health care, education inequality and others. Digital fabrication labs are in plans, he added. He encouraged the students to leverage upon technology and data, and advocated for cross border work culture.
Prof Marek informed that over 21,000 students and 4000 employees are enrolled at AGH University. It is the 3rd best Polish University. The courses in demand include that of Management, Production engineering and Infomatrix. Prof Cichon stressed upon the need to cater to the needs of cities as an evolving organism. Prof Sala highlighted the innovation engineering laboratory, reverse engineering software and MakerBot print – a package for printing on 30 printers at AGH University.
Dr Gagandeep Sharma introduced the guests. Dr Meenu Kapoor, Dean, Biotechnology welcomed the guests. Dr Hemant Shrivastava, CEO of Atal Incubation Centre proposed the vote of thanks and informed that 44 start ups are functioning at AIC around the four themes of agriculture, health, society and environment.
