IMS Design & Innovation Academy opens DET for 2026–27 admissions; last date April 20

IMS Design & Innovation Academy has announced its Design Entry Test (DET) for admission to undergraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. Applications will close on April 20, with the entrance exam scheduled for April 22 and 23.
The test will be held in offline mode at the institute’s Noida campus. It is open to students who have passed Class 12 from any stream.
Admissions through DET will be offered across design fields such as fashion, interior, communication, jewellery and luxury product design. The entrance exam includes two parts, a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT), aimed at assessing students’ creative thinking, visualisation and problem-solving skills.
The institute said the test is designed to identify candidates who show potential for design education and can develop practical, innovative solutions.
Interested students can apply through the institute’s official admissions portal before the deadline.
Over the years, the academy has built a presence in design education with a focus on hands-on learning and industry exposure, preparing students for careers across creative sectors.
