IP University Launches M.Tech in Robotics & AI for 2026-27

The University School of Information, Communication and Technology (USICT), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, has introduced a new M.Tech programme in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence for the academic session 2026-27.

According to Prof. Pushpender Bharti of USICT, the scope for robotics and artificial intelligence in India is growing fast. This is driven by government support, a rising startup ecosystem, and increasing use across sectors like healthcare, finance, manufacturing and agriculture.

There is strong demand for skilled professionals such as AI engineers, data scientists and robotics engineers. This is creating job opportunities in both established companies and startups. Prof. Bharti said the future outlook is positive, with potential for economic growth and improvements in public services through AI-led innovation.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have at least 60% marks or equivalent in one of the following:
B.Tech/BE in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or related fields, or M.Sc in subjects like IT, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Statistics.

Admission process:
Admissions will be based first on valid GATE scores. If seats remain, candidates will be selected through the university’s CET. Any remaining seats will be filled through CUET merit.

The programme offers 21 seats. The last date to apply is March 31, 2026. More details are available on the university website.
