MAHE’s Dr Satish Adiga Joins National ART & Surrogacy Board

Manipal, 01 December 2025: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has appointed Dr Satish Adiga, Head of Clinical Embryology at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, as an Expert Member of the National Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and Surrogacy Board.
The board is the apex regulatory body for assisted reproductive technology and surrogacy services in India. It ensures safety, ethics and transparency, advises the Centre on policy, monitors ART clinics and gamete banks, sets standards and codes of conduct, oversees the national registry and works to prevent misuse of technology while safeguarding patient rights. It also supports responsible research and innovation in reproductive medicine.
Dr Adiga brings more than three decades of experience in IVF embryology, infertility treatment and quality management. He is widely recognised for his work in IVF training, fertility research and advancing best practices in ART in India and abroad.
Manipal Academy of Higher Education has welcomed the appointment, calling it a reflection of the institution’s commitment to clinical excellence, innovation and public health leadership.
