ITC Mission Sunehra Kal Hosts Mega Job Fair in Jammu

Over 500 candidates from Jammu and its surrounding districts took part in the ITC Mission Sunehra Kal Mega Job Fair, which was organized by ITC in collaboration with NIIT Foundation and the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC), Jammu, and was successfully held in Jammu. The event, which is part of ITC Mission Sunehra Kal’s employability and placement efforts, brought 21 reputed employers and jobseekers together for direct engagement, interviews and preliminary assessments.
The candidates were offered opportunities across multiple sectors, with many recruiters conducting on-the-spot interactions and initial interviews which were tailored to the candidate’s skills and career aspirations. The job fair strengthened the local industry and talent linkages and bolstered the placement ecosystem in the region.
The event was graced by several guests, like Mr. Amit Bhasin, J&K Police Services, SSP Traffic, Jammu, who was the Chief Guest, Mr. Mukhlis Ali, Assistant Director, District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC), Mr. Khalid Sheikh, Officer on Special Duty, J&K Skill Development Mission, Mr. Sachin Sharma, Factory Manager, ITC Limited, Mr. Aman Vashist, HR Executive, ITC Limited, Mr. Giriraj Shah, Senior Program Manager, ITC Limited, Mr. Akhilesh Sharma, National Head, Skills & Livelihood, NIIT Foundation, Mr. Vikrant Chandela, National Head, Placements, NIIT Foundation and Mr. Sumit Bhukania, Zonal Manager, Skills & Livelihood, NIIT Foundation.
Mr. Giriraj Shah said, “We are extremely happy with the response we have received for this Mission Sunehra Kal program. This showcases our drive to collaborate with our partners and fulfil our objectives.”
The NIIT Foundation Spokesperson, Mr. Akhilesh Sharma said, “The Jammu Mega Job Fair showcases the impact that is possible when industry, government employment services and implementation partners work together. We are committed to equipping local youth with relevant skills and leading them to meaningful employment opportunities.”
The organizers underscored that the Job Fair was designed to be inclusive and accessible, with on-site assessments that enabled recruiters to identify suitable candidates for entry-level and skilled roles. Follow-up placement support and shortlisting processes will continue after the event to convert interviews into confirmed job offers.
