Medhavi Skills University Hosts Prarambh 2025 Orientation

Medhavi skills University( MSU), Sikkim, held its Orientation Ceremony “ PRARAMBH ” for the incoming Batch of 2025 at Manan Kendra, Gangtok, marking the morning of a new academic session. The programme was attended by scholars, parents, academicians, policymakers, and assiduity leaders, reflecting the university’s position as an institution concentrated on skill- integrated advanced education.
The form began with a formal hello for the new scholars and their families. The appearance of the principal guests was followed by the lighting of the conventional beacon. The National Anthem, presented by the University’s Cultural Club, and a welcome song by the pupil ensemble set a traditional yet engaging tone. A especially curated videotape donation showcased MSU’s growth over the times, landing its impact since commencement and its commitment to bridging the gap between education and employability. In his address, the Author and Chancellor of MSU encouraged scholars to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and to view education not simply as a pursuit of degrees but as a means of invention and leadership. He underscored the significance of adaptability and curiosity in the trip ahead. Emphasising the institution’s pupil-first approach, he said that MSU’s true strength lies in its scholars and their capability to contribute to society as originators and socially responsible citizens. The event included addresses from several dignitaries who brought perspectives from different diligence. Shri Raj Shekhar Joshi,Vice-Chairman of SETU Ayog( formerly Planning Commission), Uttarakhand, spoke about the evolving part of policy in supporting skill- grounded education. Mr. Rakesh Prasad, AVP- HR at Indigo Airlines, participated perceptivity on employability and the need for rigidity in the aeronautics sector. Mr. Debmalya Banerjee, Regional Director of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, stressed the significance of assiduity- academia collaborations, while Mr. Pankaj Mathur, Senior General Manager at Felix Hospital, spoke on chops needed in healthcare. Mr. Kalappa KB, CHRO of Chai Point, bandied the significance of holistic development and preparing for a unborn pool that values both specialized and interpersonal chops.
The artistic member of the exposure reflected the different community of MSU. scholars presentedsemi-classical performances along with traditional balls from Nepali, Assamese, Arunachali, and Newari societies. Fusion balls and musical performances by the University’s Music Skill Drill scholars and the band, The soldiers, added sprightliness to the occasion. These performances not only entertained but also stressed the artistic inclusivity of the university.
A significant moment of pride for the institution was the festivity of its public recognition as the 4th- ranked university in the Outlook- ICARE Rankings 2025. This achievement was marked through a felicitation form and the webbing of a talkie tracing MSU’s 13- time trip. Faculty, staff, and scholars were conceded for their benefactions in reaching this corner. ThePro-Chancellor andCo-Founder of MSU, in his reflections, emphasised the part of youth in nation- structure. He prompted scholars to suppose beyond conventional employment and aspire to come job generators. He called upon them to borrow invention and tone- reliance as guiding principles, linking MSU’s charge to the public vision of a “ Viksit Bharat. ” His words corroborated the university’s broader thing of equipping scholars to be contributors to the country’s progress.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Sikkim, Mr. Justice Biswanath Somadder. He stressed the need to look at education as further than knowledge accession, describing it as a process of cultivating integrity, empathy, and responsibility. Praising MSU’s approach to integrating chops with education, he said universities have the responsibility of shaping graduates who can contribute to both the pool and society. In the after sessions, new scholars shared in ice- breaking conditioning designed to foster cling among the batch. Heads of colorful seminaries within the university and representatives from the Office of Student Affairs addressed the scholars, offering motivational guidance. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks, where appreciation was expressed to dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students for their presence and contributions. The Orientation Programme “PRARAMBH” set the academic year in motion by blending institutional vision with cultural richness and industry perspectives. It reinforced MSU’s mission of developing graduates who are both globally competent and socially responsible, ready to take on the challenges of a dynamic world.
