State Level Street Play Contest Held At IPU Delhi

A State- Level Street Play Competition was organised at the Dwarka lot of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University( GGSIPU), bringing together  scholars from  colorful universities and  sodalities of Delhi to spread  mindfulness on pressing social issues. The event was held under the  common aegis of Bhagidari Jansahayog Samiti, Delhi Police Crime Branch, the National Service Scheme( NSS), GGSIPU, and the New Delhi Municipal Council( NDMC).   

The competition, part of the “ Nasha Mukt Delhi 2027 crusade, ” aimed to draw attention to challenges  similar as  medicine abuse, dependence , and violence against women. Through  important performances, the  sharing  brigades used the medium of  road theatre to communicate  dispatches of social responsibility and collaborative action.   

Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU, Padma Shri Prof.( Dr.) Mahesh Verma, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, Prof. Verma praised the action, describing it as a  corner in the fight against  medicine abuse and other social  immoralities. He also  confided the  part of Bhagidari Jansahayog Samiti and its leadership, saying that  similar  sweats could inspire  youthful people to take a  stage for positive change. “ The Nasha Mukt Delhi 2027 crusade has the implicit to  give a positive direction to society. mindfulness among the youth is essential, and creative platforms  similar as  road plays are  important ways of delivering  dispatches, ” he noted. Prof. Verma also complimented Mr. Vijay Gaur, Chief fellow of the  crusade, for his leadership and vision.   

The  road play competition attracted wide participation from institutions across Delhi, with  scholars  madly engaging in performances that  stressed not only the  troubles of  medicine abuse but also the broader counteraccusations  of dependence  on families and communities. A jury panel comprising social workers Mr. Bharat Bhushan and Ms. Arshana Arogya  estimated the performances. Their involvement assured that the plays were assessed not only on creativity and  donation but also on the effectiveness of the social  dispatches conveyed. Both jury members lauded the  sweats of the pupil actors, remarking that  similar events  punctuate the power of theatre in shaping public opinion and encouraging reflection on issues that are  frequently neglected in everyday  converse.   The program was also well supported by academic institutions. Departments of Journalism and Mass Communication from Lingaya’s Lalita Devi Institute of Management & lores and K.R. The event itself was anchored by Prof. Tabassum from Jamia Millia Islamia, whose stage presence assured the smooth conduct of the competition.

Program officers from the National Service Scheme( NSS) and representatives of  sharing universities also attended,  italicizing the  cooperative nature of the action. Their presence  corroborated the idea that  diving  issues like  medicine abuse requires coordinated  sweats from educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, and civil society groups.   Committee President Mr. Vijay Gaur, in his  reflections, emphasized the  significance of steering youth down from  dangerous dependences . “ Dependence is n’t a value of our culture, ” he said, stressing the need to involve  youthful people in creative and formative  hobbies. According to him, if the energy of youth is  conducted into meaningful conditioning, it could make a significant  donation to the development of the nation. “ The  topmost strength of our country  moment is its youth.However, we can  fight the tendencies that lead to  medicine abuse and dependence , ” he added, If we engage them effectively.   

The  road play competition  therefore served as both an artistic and educational platform, combining entertainment with social responsibility. scholars not only showcased their amusement  gift but also reflected a strong commitment to societal well- being. The themes  reverberated with the  followership,  numerous of whom expressed appreciation for the action and its implicit to spark  exchanges on  motifs that demand  critical attention.   

By engaging directly with  youthful people through theatre, the event sought to harness the  sprightliness and creativity of  scholars in service of social causes. It  stressed the  part that universities can play in shaping  stations and encouraging communal responsibility among the coming generation.
