WedKnott, India’s matchmaking service for Ivy League alumni and accomplished professionals, on Tuesday, said that it has secured a strategic investment from Sir Pratik Gauri, Knight of Malta and the visionary entrepreneur behind blockchain unicorn 5ire, as the company embarks on aggressive international expansion.
Currently operating from Noida and Mumbai, WedKnott is now setting up offices in Dubai and London, marking its entry into lucrative global markets where wealthy Indian diaspora and international elite seek curated matrimonial services.
Sir Pratik Gauri, who built 5ire into a $1.5 billion company with operations across multiple countries, brings critical experience in international scaling. His 5ire ecosystem includes partnerships with government entities from the Goa Police to Abu Dhabi University and has attracted advisors like Chelsea footballer Didier Drogba, demonstrating his ability to build global networks—exactly what WedKnott needs as it expands beyond India.
The matchmaking platform, founded in 2018 by Abhinav Gandhi and co-founded by Misha Malik, specializes in curating alliances among highly educated professionals from top-tier global institutions, CXOs, and distinguished entrepreneurs.
