Following the recent announcement of the JEE Main results, Ashoka University, Delhi-NCR, has announced 100% tuition fee waivers for 50 exceptional performers in JEE Main, as part of its Special Merit Scholarships under the Undergraduate Admissions 2026 cycle.
The Special Merit Scholarships are part of Ashoka University’s larger scholarships initiative for the 2026 intake, under which the University has announced 500 merit and need-based scholarships, including 200 newly introduced merit scholarships
The initiative aims to support high-achieving students who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence in one of India’s most competitive national entrance examinations. To qualify, applicants must have secured a minimum 98 percentile in JEE Main and meet Ashoka University’s admissions criteria. Successful students will join Ashoka’s world-class degree programmes in Computer Science and the Natural Sciences, taught by faculty from leading Indian and global institutions, and receive a full tuition waiver for the entire duration of their undergraduate programme at Ashoka.
Somak Raychaudhury, Vice-Chancellor, Ashoka University, Delhi-NCR, said, “At Ashoka, we believe that academic excellence must be recognised and rewarded. By recognising top JEE Main achievers through full tuition waivers, we aim to bring some of India’s brightest young minds into the University’s interdisciplinary learning environment and help shape them as future leaders equipped with intellectual rigour, critical thinking, and a strong sense of social responsibility.”
With this initiative, Ashoka University continues to strengthen its commitment to attracting some of India’s brightest students — including those excelling in national STEM-focused examinations — to pursue an interdisciplinary education grounded in academic rigour, research, critical inquiry, and social impact. The Special Merit Scholarships are designed to ensure that exceptional academic achievement is recognised and that financial considerations do not become a barrier to accessing world-class higher education.
Of these 200 merit scholarships, 150 are Achievers’ Merit Scholarships, offering up to 100% tuition fee waivers based on academic performance and the holistic admissions process. In addition, the University will continue to provide need-based scholarships, including full fee waivers, to support students based on their financial circumstances.
Since inception, the University has committed INR 723 crore in providing need-based scholarships, benefitting over 5400 students till now.
The admissions process is conducted across four application rounds, concluding on May 31, 2026.
