Delhi University To Host Placement Drive From February 10

Share

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced its upcoming placement and internship drive, scheduled to be held from February 10 to February 21, 2025. This much-anticipated event, organized by the university’s Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the Dean of Students’ Welfare, aims to provide students with numerous opportunities to connect with reputed companies and secure internships or job offers. The recruitment drive will be conducted in offline mode at a designated venue within the university premises.

According to the official notice released by DU, the venue for the placement drive will be Room numbers 4 and 5 at the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW) office, Conference Centre, located opposite the Botany Department near Gate Number 4 of the university. Students are encouraged to register and participate in the drive, which will run daily throughout the specified dates.

One of the key highlights of the announcement is that the placement cell does not charge any registration or participation fees from students. This initiative underscores DU’s commitment to making career-building opportunities accessible to all its students without any financial burden. The university has called upon eligible candidates to ensure their registration before the deadline, which is set for February 8, 2025.

The drive is open to students enrolled in regular undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes at the University of Delhi. However, students from the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) and the School of Open Learning (SOL) are not eligible to participate in this particular event. The exclusion of these students has been a consistent policy for the CPC-organized placement drives, as they primarily focus on regular programme attendees.

To facilitate smooth participation, students are advised to stay updated with the latest information and job roles offered by various companies. DU has provided access to a comprehensive document known as the “Jumbo JD,” which lists detailed job descriptions for all companies participating in the drive. This document can be accessed through the DSW website, offering insights into the roles and responsibilities associated with each job profile.

The Central Placement Cell has also advised students to stay updated on the DSW website for any changes or updates in respect of the placement drive. The student can email at [email protected] for any query regarding the event.

The offline placement and internship drive represent a significant opportunity for DU students to connect with leading companies and explore diverse career paths. With a broad spectrum of job roles and internships likely to be on offer, participants can gain valuable insights into industry requirements and develop a strong professional network.

The university has, on its part, always taken measures to engage the students with the corporate world in a meaningful manner, with practical exposure considered parallel to classroom learning. It thus not only improves the employability of the students but also fosters the culture of preparation.

As the placement drive draws near, excitement and anticipation are palpable among the students, many of whom are eager to secure promising job offers or gain hands-on experience through internships. DU’s reputation as one of India’s leading educational institutions ensures that a wide range of companies, spanning multiple sectors, are likely to participate in the event, making it a golden opportunity for aspiring professionals.

With February 8 being the last date for registration, the eligible students are requested to take prompt action and complete the required formalities. The placement drive is a reflection of DU’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for professional growth and career advancement. The university continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its graduates by providing a platform where students can directly engage with potential employers.

As the dates for the placement and internship drive draw near, all eyes will be on DU as it sets the stage for yet another successful event aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.
