In a huge relief for lakhs of upcoming railway aspirants all over India, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally released the dates of the RRB NTPC 2025 Undergraduate (UG) recruitment campaign. The most awaited test will be the key to 12th-pass aspirants looking for government jobs in the Indian Railways under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC).
As per the RRB notice, Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) for UG-level posts will be held between August 7 and September 8, 2025. The exercise of recruitment has seen a massive response from aspirants across the country, with over 63 lakh applicants competing for a mere 3,445 posts. Competition is likely to be cutthroat, and preparation much in advance and timely access to examination news therefore becomes imperative for all the candidates.
The NTPC entry test for undergraduate students is to recruit students for Junior Clerk–Typist, Train Clerk, and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk posts in Indian Railways’ different divisions. These are junior positions but provide students with a secure career in the government sector, so the test is one of the highest in regard among newly passed school students.
To allow the candidates to prepare and organize logistics, RRB will first issue the city intimation slip on 29th July 2025. The pre-admit card intimation will allow the candidates to become aware of their exam city allotted and shift timings. This will allow them to organize requisite travel, accommodation arrangements, and the rest in advance. It should be noted that the city intimation slip will not allow the candidate to enter the exam hall. The candidates must make sure they download and bring their original admit card in order to be permitted to sit for the test.
The RRB NTPC 2025 UG test admit cards shall be made available from August 3, 2025, onwards. The candidates shall be able to obtain them through the concerned regional RRB websites by logging in with registration number and password or date of birth. The admit card must include all the essential details such as exam centre address, reporting time, shift timing, candidate roll number, and examination day instructions. The candidates must verify all the details that are being printed on the admit card and must inform their respective RRB zone in advance of the exam date if any discrepancies are found.
In addition to the admit card, the candidate will need to bring along with him/her a valid proof of photo ID, i.e., Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License, at the time of the test. The admit card and a valid ID must be used in conjunction with each other in order to gain access to the test center. Without these, the candidates will not be allowed to take the test.
Considering the humongous number of applicants and few vacancies, the RRB has made a point of urging the downloading of the admit card before the deadline. A technical snag at the eleventh hour, like server failure or misplaced credentials, may cause undue stress or missed opportunities. Aspirants should not wait for the last day to check their hall tickets.
RRB NTPC exam is taken in different shifts and centers all over the nation to manage the large number of aspirants. All of the shifts will be computer-based, examining the aspirants in different subjects like General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The performance of the candidate in CBT 1 will establish their rightness to progress towards further selection stages like CBT 2, typing skill test, document verification, and medical test.
This recruitment drive provides a wonderful chance for Indian youth from small-town and rural areas to join the ranks of one of India’s largest government job sectors. With Indian Railways expanding in size and becoming more modern, the RRB NTPC UG vacancies provide stability in the long run, compensation, and a chance to advance in a career.
Applicants are encouraged to log in on their respective RRB regional websites frequently to obtain updates and notifications regarding the exam. Being well-read and prepared beforehand can mean the difference between success and failure, particularly in a very competitive exam of this magnitude.
When the dates of the examination draw near, the applicants must concentrate on revising important topics, solving mock tests, and being completely clear about all the examination day procedures. It has only weeks to go now, and every spare moment of preparation will be counted towards their success in the RRB NTPC 2025 examination.
