The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification that details the schedule and steps for the verification and re-evaluation of the Class X and XII supplementary exams. Results for the Class X supplementary exams are expected soon, while the Board announced the Class XII compartment results on August 1, 2025. After Class X results are declared, the Board will begin the verification and re-evaluation process, accepting applications through the official CBSE websites.

Students who took the Class X supplementary exams can check their results on the official sites, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. To access the results, students need to provide their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and the security pin given during the exam.

CBSE has specified that the verification and re-evaluation processes will be done completely online, with payments accepted only through online methods such as credit cards, debit cards, or net banking. The Board has stated that no offline payment methods, like cash, demand drafts, or money orders, will be allowed. Also, the processing fee for each step, whether verification or re-evaluation, is non-refundable. The Board will only accept one application per candidate per step, urging students to apply carefully and responsibly.

The verification process consists of several stages, starting with the request for a photocopy of the evaluated answer book. Only candidates who apply for and receive the scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheets can proceed with the verification of marks. After receiving the photocopy, students should review their answer sheets carefully for any mistakes in totaling marks, unchecked answers, or incorrect evaluation based on the marking scheme.

The result of the verification will be available through the same login account used for submitting the application. If any changes occur after verification, either an increase or decrease in marks, these will be updated and reflected in the revised results. CBSE has emphasized that even a one-mark reduction during the verification process will be officially recorded in the final result. This highlights the need for applicants to proceed cautiously and only with valid reasons for suspecting an error.

The application window to obtain scanned copies of the evaluated Class X answer books will open on August 8, 2025. This suggests that the Class X compartment results will be released soon, possibly even today. Providing scanned answer sheets is crucial as it allows students to evaluate their performance and decide whether to seek re-evaluation.

Students opting for re-evaluation must have received their scanned answer sheets first. This process lets candidates contest the marks received for specific questions if they suspect an error in evaluation. Each question challenged will cost ₹100. Students are advised to review the official CBSE marking scheme—which will be available along with the relevant question paper—before submitting any challenges. It’s vital to include a clear and well-supported reason for each challenge to ensure it is valid.

The status and results of the re-evaluation will be posted on the CBSE website. Also, candidates will get official updates from their respective CBSE Regional Offices about the final decision. Once re-evaluation is finished, the result—whether an increase or decrease in marks—will be final. The Board has made it clear that no appeals or further requests will be accepted after the re-evaluation result is declared.

This announcement from CBSE promotes transparency and gives students a fair chance to address any potential errors in their results. However, with the rule that only one application per candidate will be accepted for each process and the nature of the non-refundable fees, the Board encourages students to act thoughtfully and after careful consideration. As the supplementary results and re-evaluation processes progress, students should stay informed through the official CBSE platforms and strictly follow the timelines and instructions provided.
