Jaro Education Backs Low-cost Healthcare in Patna with ₹51 Lakh CSR Support

Share

In Patna, where access to affordable healthcare is still uneven, a new effort is trying to close the gap, starting with basic services.

Jaro Education has committed ₹51 lakh to support a healthcare initiative in the city, working with Khan Foundation. The programme is part of the company’s broader CSR push, built around its “Shiksha se Seva tak” approach.

The focus is simple. Make essential healthcare easier to access for people who often delay treatment because of cost. The support will go into improving facilities and services, including doctor consultations, diagnostic tests and basic treatment, all at subsidised rates.

For many families in and around Patna, medical expenses are still largely out of pocket. That often means small health issues go untreated until they become serious. The initiative is aimed at addressing this gap, especially for low-income communities.

Ranjita Raman, CEO of Jaro Education, said the move is also linked to the company’s growing presence in the region. She said Patna is not just an education market, but also a place where broader community needs have to be addressed. Supporting healthcare, she added, is part of that responsibility.

Founder and CMD Sanjay Salunkhe said education and healthcare go hand in hand when it comes to long-term progress. While the company’s core work remains in education, he said the need for basic healthcare support cannot be ignored.

The initiative is also linked to educator Khan Sir, known for his work in making education more accessible. Through the foundation, the effort is expected to reach more people who currently struggle to access even basic medical care.

Khan Sir said the aim is to ensure that treatment is not delayed simply because someone cannot afford it. He added that support from organisations like Jaro helps expand the reach of such efforts.

The project is still in its early stages, and more details on how it will scale are expected in the coming months. For now, the focus remains on improving access, one service at a time.
