Students entering Class 9 this academic year will be able to access their revised textbooks PDFs by April 15, 2026, as the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) rolls out updated books aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023.

The new set of books, covering core subjects such as Science, Mathematics, Social Science and Languages, will be available in PDF format on NCERT’s official website. Students can download either full books or chapter-wise content directly from the portal.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also indicated that additional academic resources and updates linked to the revised curriculum will be accessible through its academic unit website. Private learning platforms have started hosting chapter-wise material and summaries, though the official NCERT site remains the primary source.

For Class 9, the updated syllabus will include standard NCERT titles. In Social Science, students will continue with books such as India and the Contemporary World – I, Democratic Politics – I, Contemporary India – I and Economics. English will include Beehive and Moments, while Hindi courses will feature books like Kshitij, Kritika, Sparsh and Sanchayan. Science and Mathematics will follow revised NCERT textbooks aligned with the new framework.

The release comes at a time when many schools have already begun the academic session, with teachers relying on interim material. The updated textbooks are expected to bring more clarity as schools shift toward a competency-based learning approach under the new education policy.
