Bank of Baroda has announced the recruitment of 2,482 Local Bank Officers in Junior Management Grade/Scale-I (JMG/S-I) on a regular basis across 20 states and Union Territories.

The recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening the bank’s local workforce and expanding its ability to serve customers in regional markets. The vacancies include positions in states such as Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Odisha.

Under the recruitment terms, selected officers will be posted in the state for which they have applied for the first 12 years of their service or until they are promoted to SMGS-IV, whichever is earlier. The state-based posting is intended to enable the bank to build a workforce familiar with local languages, markets and customer needs.

“This recruitment drive represents an investment not only in our workforce, but also in the communities and economies we serve. By bringing in young banking professionals with strong local understanding and language capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to respond to the evolving needs of customers in different markets,” said Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda.

Applicants must be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university and should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of August 1, 2026. Candidates must also have at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.

Candidates are required to be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding.

Applications can be submitted online through Bank of Baroda’s website until September 7, 2026.
