RRB JE Answer Key Objection Window Closes Soon

Share

The Railway Recruitment Board has issued an important update regarding the RRB JE Answer Key 2024. The objection window on the provisional answer key put up on December 23, 2024 will be closed today, 28 December 2024, at 23:55 hrs. This final opportunity to refer to the answer key and file objections, if any, is offered for candidates who have taken Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) examinations.

Provisional answer key will offer candidates an overall view of questions asked, their respective answers, and correct responses as evaluated by the board. This transparency will allow the candidates to review the correctness of the answers and ascertain fairness in the evaluation process. Candidates who find some discrepancies in the answer key have been allowed to dispute the particular answers. However, objections must be filed only through the online objection portal of the respective RRBs under which the candidates applied.

Candidates will need to log in to the official RRB website by furnishing their credentials to raise objections. Once logged in, they can access the answer key and choose the questions on which they want to raise objections and can submit supporting documents or explanations for doing so. A minimal fee of Rs 50 per question is charged for raising objections. This fee, along with applicable bank service charges, can be paid through multiple online payment methods like Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking.

The RRB has also provided a refund policy for the candidates whose objections are found valid. In this case, the objection fee will be refunded after deducting the applicable bank charges. The refunded amount will be credited to the same account used for making the payment. This policy underlines the board’s commitment towards ensuring that the examination process is fair and transparent.

The Computer Based Test (CBT 1) for these posts was conducted from December 16 to December 18, 2024, at various exam centers in India. The provisional answer key released on December 23 has opened the objection process. Candidates will have five days to review and challenge inconsistencies. The RRB has made it clear that objections will not be entertained after the deadline and has appealed to candidates to act in time.

In an official notification put out by the RRB, it is very prominently mentioned that objections be filed before the last date to read, “Candidates are advised to raise objection(s), if any, well before the last date and time i.e., 28.12.2024 at 23:55 hrs., after which no representation from the candidates on the questions, options, keys etc. will be entertained.

This is a provision that is significant to any candidate who intends to see that their efforts in an examination are graded fairly and correctly. Candidates, while pointing out mistakes in the provisional answer key, help guarantee the integrity of the recruitment process.

Candidates should note that raising objections is not merely a procedural step but a critical aspect of maintaining fairness in competitive examinations. It ensures that every candidate’s performance is judged accurately, based on correct answers. For those with valid concerns, it is essential to act decisively and submit objections with proper documentation to support their claims.

The RRB has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining accuracy and transparency in the selection process. For further developments, applicants are advised to visit their respective RRBs’ official websites regularly for updates. This is of particular importance as the board prepares for subsequent stages in the recruitment process, namely the declaration of results and the next round of exams.

With the objection window closing today night, candidates are further reminded to review the key to answer and submit, if necessary, within a timeframe established. This happens to be the last window whereby the results of the candidate will have all their claims met as the final copies are compiled.
