IP University signs MoU With CCI India To Strengthen Startup Support Ecosystem

The IPU-Innovation and Incubation Foundation (IPU-IIF), the incubation arm of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chamber of Commerce and Industries, India (CCI India) under its Compliance Network Initiative.
The partnership aims to strengthen support for startups incubated at IPU-IIF by providing them greater access to industry expertise, business development opportunities and funding avenues.
The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration in areas including innovation, entrepreneurship, business growth, industry engagement and funding. The partnership will bring together the university’s academic and incubation capabilities with CCI India’s industry network to support early-stage ventures and help them move from ideas to scalable businesses.
CCI India works with businesses and emerging enterprises to support entrepreneurship and business growth. The collaboration is expected to provide IPU-IIF startups with greater exposure to industry networks, mentorship and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The MoU was signed by Dr Sumant Sharma, Director, IPU-IIF, and Munindra Kumar, Director General, CCI India, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor, GGSIPU; Dr. Kamal Pathak, Registrar, GGSIPU; Prof. Sudip Kumar, Director, Research & Innovation, GGSIPU; and members of the IPU-IIF Board, including Prof. N. C. Gupta, Dr. Sumit Choudhary and Dr. Nikhilesh Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mahesh Verma said stronger university-industry ties can help translate research and ideas into applications and enterprises, while giving students and faculty greater opportunities for industry engagement, entrepreneurship, incubation and mentorship.
“I truly see this association as an opportunity to bring greater industry perspective into the innovation and entrepreneurship efforts of the University,” he said.
