The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has opened the registration for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) May 2025 session. Aspiring candidates who wish to pursue a career as a Company Secretary can now apply for this prestigious entrance exam through the official ICSI website before the application deadline of April 15, 2025. The CSEET exam is scheduled to be held on May 3, 2025, providing candidates ample time to complete the registration process.

To complete the registration process, candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 2,000. This payment is a mandatory step for all applicants and is essential for the successful submission of the registration form.

The CSEET 2025 exam is designed to assess candidates’ proficiency in four key subjects, which are fundamental to the Company Secretary course. These subjects include Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, and Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates are expected to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge across these diverse areas.

The exam will be conducted in Remote Proctored Mode, allowing candidates to take the test from any location of their choice. During the exam, candidates will be monitored online by invigilators, ensuring the integrity of the test while providing flexibility in terms of location. This mode of examination is particularly beneficial for candidates who may not have easy access to physical exam centers.

In terms of passing criteria, candidates are required to secure an aggregate of at least 50% to qualify for the exam. Additionally, a minimum of 40% marks in each subject is required. There is no negative marking in the CSEET exam, which means that candidates do not have to worry about losing marks for incorrect answers. However, candidates should note that the use of calculators, pens, pencils, paper, or notebooks is prohibited during the exam. This ensures that the exam is conducted in a controlled environment and that all candidates have an equal opportunity to perform based on their knowledge.

Eligibility criteria for the CSEET May 2025 session are straightforward. Candidates who have passed Class XII or are appearing for their Class XII exams are eligible to apply for the entrance exam. This opens up opportunities for students who have recently completed or are in the process of completing their school education to pursue a career in the Company Secretary field.

However, some categories of candidates are exempt from taking the CSEET exam and can directly enroll in the CS Executive Programme. These exemptions are granted to candidates who have qualified the Foundation level of ICSI, final passed candidates from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), graduates with at least 50% marks, and postgraduates in any discipline. These exemptions provide a faster route to the CS Executive Programme for those who already possess significant academic qualifications.

The Company Secretary (CS) qualification is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as equivalent to a postgraduate degree, enhancing career prospects for candidates who successfully complete the program. This recognition further emphasizes the value of the CS qualification in the fields of corporate governance, finance, and legal compliance, making it an attractive career choice for individuals interested in these areas.

For those aspiring to register for the CSEET May 2025, it is a straightforward and easy process. They can start with a visit to the official website of ICSI at www.icsi.edu. Upon reaching the site, they will have to click on the CSEET 2025 Registration option. Upon entering the registration site, candidates will be asked to fill out the application form with their personal and academic information. They will also have to upload the documents as required by the ICSI. After filling up the form and uploading the documents, candidates will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 2,000. After that, candidates can submit the form and download the confirmation receipt for future use.

It is important for interested candidates to ensure that they complete their registration before the deadline of April 15, 2025, to secure their place in the upcoming CSEET session. Late submissions may result in the loss of the opportunity to appear for the exam. Therefore, candidates are advised to act promptly and ensure that they meet all the requirements within the given time frame.

In conclusion, the CSEET May 2025 registration process is now open, providing aspiring Company Secretaries with the opportunity to take the first step toward a rewarding career in corporate governance and legal compliance.
