IP University To Open Online Admissions Portal From 2 February

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will activate its online admission portal for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes for the 2026–27 academic session from February 2.
The university offers more than 43,000 seats across over 130 affiliated colleges and university schools. Candidates can apply for a wide range of programmes through the online portal available on the university website, www.ipu.ac.in. Admission brochures have also been uploaded on the website.
This year, applicants can choose from over 230 academic programmes, including courses in artificial intelligence, robotics, data science, law, medicine and design. The university is introducing more than two dozen new courses and has affiliated nine new institutes for the coming academic year.
As in previous years, candidates will need to pay a one-time application fee of Rs 2,500. This fee covers both registration and participation in the counselling process.
Admissions to many programmes will be conducted through the university’s Common Entrance Tests. Several courses will also admit students based on national-level exams such as JEE Main, NEET, CAT, CMAT, NIMCET and CLAT. In addition, vacant seats in select undergraduate and postgraduate programmes will be filled through CUET scores. The university has also decided to fill remaining BTech seats through CUET this year.
