UPSC Extends Prelims 2025 Registration Deadline To Feb 18

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced an extension for the registration deadline of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CS(P)-2025) and the Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination (IFoS(P)-2025). Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications can now do so until February 18, 2025, by 6:00 PM. The last date for online registration was initially February 11, 2025. It has been further extended to ensure that all interested candidates get equal opportunities to get registered.
Other than the window for registration, UPSC also announced the correction window for application forms. It will be available from February 19 to February 25 so that candidates may correct their application forms submitted already. The official notification emphasized the importance of this window, stating that it offers a seven-day period for applicants to review and rectify any errors in their application details. Candidates interested in applying for the examinations are required to complete the process through the official UPSC website at upsconline.gov.in. Upon completing the form, candidates need to pay the application fee, if applicable, through online payment modes. General and OBC category candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 100. However, female candidates, as well as those belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories, are exempted from paying the application fee. After successful payment, applicants should download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
