Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has presented an ambitious plan with regard to skill-based education, natural dispensaries, and artificial intelligence in the state. At the Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sai said Chhattisgarh would fully support and cooperate in the national mission of transforming India into a developed country by 2047.
He has pointed out that Sai, in his speech, has spoken of many priorities and programs taken up to implement the development plan of Chhattisgarh in areas concerning education, human resource development, health, and technological advancement. He has articulated that Chhattisgarh will indeed perform a very noteworthy role in making a vision of “Developed India by 2047.”
Currently, the GSDP of Chhattisgarh rests at Rs 5.05 trillion. One ambitious target the chief minister had to announce was the doubling to Rs 10 trillion within the next five years. To accomplish the same, the state started looking at various avenues for betterment and set out certain strategic goals across sectors.
One of the most prominent elements of Sai’s vision is the empowerment of the youth in Chhattisgarh. He has been insistent that the process for preparing skilled human resources should go in tandem with the development strategy for the state. In this regard, the state is actively pursuing the initiative of integrating vocational skills and training into its system of education. This will equip students with practical capabilities to enhance employability and conform to the rapidly changing job market.
Further, he reiterated the need for promoting natural dispensaries so that the state could increase access to and enhance the quality of healthcare facilities. He added that artificial intelligence held tremendous potential to be a game-changer in innovative and efficient change in any sector, be it governance or industry.
In his speech, Sai reflected confidence in a bright future and reiterated holistic development as the main goal of the state government. With a focus on education, skill development, and technology, Chhattisgarh can work toward the national aspiration of a developed India while also engaging in sustainable and inclusive growth for its populace.
The meeting of the Governing Council of the NITI Aayog provided a platform to Chief Minister Sai to present his vision and elicit collaborative efforts from the Centre and other states. As Chhattisgarh embarks on this journey of transformation, the initiatives being taken and the policies in the pipeline are likely to bring about sea change in the socio-economic landscape and make this state one of the prime movers in the development saga of India.
