The University of Delhi has officially commenced its admission process today, offering approximately 71,000 seats across various undergraduate programs.
Students can apply for admission through the official website admission.uod.ac.in. The admissions will be based on the CUET UG 2023 examination.
Yogesh Singh, the Vice Chancellor of DU, stated, “Our portal will open today, and students will be required to complete the registration form.”
This year, admissions for fine arts courses will also be conducted through CUET UG 2023. Among the courses offered by DU, BCom has been the most popular choice, with over 1 lakh students expressing interest in both BCom (Hons) and BCom pass courses.
Singh mentioned, “The most sought-after course is BCom (Hons), with 1.30 lakh students indicating their interest, followed by BCom pass course, which garnered the interest of 1,26,239 students. It clearly demonstrates that BCom is the flagship program of the University of Delhi, with numerous students aspiring to be a part of it.”
The portal will reopen for mid-entry registration to accommodate candidates who missed the initial registration. However, students applying during this period will be charged an additional fee of Rs 1,000. It’s important to note that these students might have limited options of courses and colleges available to them, potentially placing them at a disadvantage.
