Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and KOITA FOUNDATION signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to mark their commitment towards advancing digital health initiatives in India.

At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared vision to champion digital health education across the nation. Under the terms of the MoU, KOITA will extend its expertise by providing an open-source Digital Health Foundation Course – “DHFC” exclusively accessible to GGSIPU students. Moreover, the partnership seeks to foster digital health research, facilitate data collaboration initiatives among GGSIPU and its affiliated institutes and hospitals, and organize a series of lectures, workshops, and training programs to enrich learning experiences in this growing field. Additionally, the collaboration will offer skill enhancement Certificate and Diploma courses in Digital Health, along with valuable training and internship opportunities for students.

Commenting on the partnership, Padamshri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of the University, emphasized the significance of bridging the gap between industry and academia for societal advancement. He highlighted that the MoU signifies a major step towards raising awareness and providing skill-based learning opportunities for students in the field of Digital Health.

The MoU was formally signed by Ms. Sunita Shiva, University Registrar and Mr. Rizwan Koita, Director, along with Surabhi Goel, CEO, representing KOITA FOUNDATION.

This collaboration marks a milestone in the journey towards a digitally empowered healthcare ecosystem in India, poised to revolutionize the way healthcare is delivered and experienced in the country.
