Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) has entered the online education space with the launch of BBA and B.Com programmes.

The university will soon introduce three more programmes in online mode: MCA, MA in Mass Communication and PG Diploma in Healthcare Management.

The admission brochure for the BBA and B.Com programmes was launched on Wednesday at an event held at the university’s Dwarka campus by Vice Chancellor Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Verma said the university has its own distinct identity and that online education would help extend its reach beyond geographical boundaries.

Both programmes are being offered through the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education. Centre Director Prof. Divya Verma said the programmes will have a duration of three years, with multi-entry and exit options in line with the National Education Policy.

The fee for both programmes is Rs. 15,000 per semester. The first batch is scheduled to begin on September 15.

The programmes will be delivered through a SWAYAM-enabled Learning Management System, supported by the university’s institutional collaboration with IIT Madras. Faculty members from the university and its affiliated colleges have contributed to developing the academic content.

The online courses will include recorded lectures, e-content, digital learning resources, weekly live interactive sessions, mentoring and learner support. Weekly sessions conducted by course coordinators will also allow students to interact with faculty and seek academic guidance.

Detailed information on the programmes is available on the university websites.
