Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has entered the online education space with the launch of its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programmes.

The university plans to introduce three more programmes in online mode, including MCA, MA in Mass Communication and a PG Diploma in Healthcare Management.

The admission brochure for the BBA and B.Com programmes was launched on Saturday at the university’s Dwarka campus by Vice Chancellor Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma.

Speaking at the event, Verma said the university aims to expand its reach through online education and make its programmes accessible to learners beyond geographical boundaries.

The programmes will be offered through the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education. Centre Director Prof. Divya Verma said both courses will have a duration of three years and will offer multi-entry and multi-exit options in line with the National Education Policy.

The fee for both programmes is Rs 15,000 per semester. The first batch is scheduled to begin on September 15.

The programmes will be delivered through a SWAYAM-enabled learning management system, supported by the university’s institutional collaboration with IIT Madras. Faculty members from the university and its affiliated colleges have contributed to developing the course content.

Students will have access to recorded lectures, e-content, digital learning resources, mentoring and learner support. Weekly live sessions with course coordinators will also be held to allow students to interact with faculty and seek academic guidance.

Further details are available on the university websites, IP University and IPU Admissions.
