IP University Warns applicants On Touts Promising Admissions

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has issued a warning to applicants to be wary of touts and frauds promising admissions to the University. In a notice, the University said it has received several complaints from candidates who have been approached by alleged touts promising them ‘direct admission’ for a price.
The University asked applicants to be cautious of such touts. “Admissions in the University campuses and all its affiliated colleges are conducted through a centralised counselling process, which is purely on the basis of merit of the candidates.
The admissions are held through a complete transparent merit-based process through a centralised counselling conducted online or offline.”
The University has asked all applicants to “not fall prey to such messages and inform the University in case they are approached by any agents for the purpose.
For the safety of personal details, the University has advised applicants to create their Login ID and password by themselves, not to take help of any third party like computer centres, admission counsellors, etc.
The University has advised to maintain confidentiality of their personal details, Login ID, password,etc. and not to share it to any unauthorised person.
The University has advised applicants to strictly follow the instructions given in the Admissions Brochures and circulars uploaded on both the websites of the University www.ipu.admissions.nic.in and www. Ipu.ac.in for updates related to admissions and counselling.
