IP University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious University of Bridgeport, USA. The MoU was signed by Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of IP University, and Prof. Navarun Gupta, representing the American university.

The MoU aims to work on the concept of dual degrees at the UG and PG levels in engineering. The concept involves completing two years of UG studies at IPU and two years at the American university, or one year of PG studies here and one year there, or two years here and three years there, to award B.Tech-M.Tech dual degrees.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of IP University said that the university is increasing its global footprint, and this MoU is another step in that direction. He added that IPU is also planning to offer similar dual degree programs in nursing.

Prof. Navarun Gupta stated that the demand for engineering in healthcare and medicine is increasing, with AI playing a significant role. Considering this, both universities can form alliances in these areas. Besides dual degree programs, both universities will also collaborate in research, teaching, training, internships, student, and faculty exchange.
