The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the examination dates for JEE Main 2024, comprising Session 1 and Session 2, as well as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET) UG. For JEE Main Session 1, the dates are set between January 24, 2024, and February 1, 2024, while Session 2 is scheduled from April 1, 2024, to April 15, 2024. NEET UG has been confirmed for May 5, 2024.

Furthermore, NTA has unveiled the examination dates for the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate (CUET-UG) and postgraduate (CUET-PG) courses, along with the National Eligibility Test (NET) for the academic session of 2024-25.

As outlined in the official release, CUET-UG will occur from May 15 to May 31, 2024, while CUET-PG will take place from March 11 to March 28. The NET is scheduled for June 10 to June 21, 2024, according to the official statement.

According to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, “The results for the exam will be announced within three weeks of the last test.”

NEET UG serves as a standardized medical examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses nationwide, while JEE is conducted to facilitate admissions to prestigious engineering colleges across India.

CUET UG and PG have been introduced to evaluate students on a national level, allowing them to seek admission in central universities throughout the country. The UGC NET exam evaluates candidates’ eligibility for the positions of ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in universities and colleges across India.

These exams are conducted by NTA in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format. While CUET UG and PG, JEE, and NEET are held annually, the NET exam takes place twice a year, in June and December.

NTA operates as an autonomous testing organization in the country, providing a standardized platform for various entrance examinations.
