IP University mulls increasing around 1,100 seats in campus schools

IP University is contemplating increasing around 1,100 seats in different  campus schools & centres, said the Vice Chancellor Padmashri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh verma.

“At present there are around 3,300 seats in different programmes in campus schools & centres. We are planning to increase it to about 4,400 seats seeing the rising demand of  seats in campus schools & centres. In comparison to increase of seats of affiliated institutes in past, the seats of campus schools & centres have not been increased in last one decade”, said the Vice Chancellor.

According to University sources, in University School of Information & Communication Technology, there is plan of 180 seats in place of 90 seats at present for B. Tech( Computer Sciences), 120 for B. Tech(IT) in place of 70 at present and 120 for B. tech( ECE) in place of 70 at present. Plan is afoot for starting two  new programmes in the school – B. Tech(CSE) Artificial Intelligence & B. Tech(CSE) Data Science with initial 60 seats each.

In University School of Chemical Technology, plan in afoot to make 120 seats for B. Tech(Chemical Technology) in place of 70 seat at present. There is also plan to make 60 seats for B. Tech( Bio Technology) in place of 40 at present, 60 seats for MSc( Environment Management) and with 60 seats of four – year  BSc( Environment Management).

The University is also planning to start dual – courses of BSc – MSc in Physics, Chemistry & Math with 60 seats each in University School of Basic & Applied Sciences and four – year integrated courses of BEd in general, sciences & commerce with 50 seats each.

There is plan to make 120 seats for five – year integrated  law course in University School of Law & Legal Studies in place of 80 at present. Plan is afoot to start BBA & B. Com(H) in University School of Management School with 60 seats each and increase of additional 30 seats for MBA(Analytics).

The University is also planning to start M. Tech(Food Technology) with 30 seats & BS(Mass Media) with 60 seats and D. Pharma with 60 seats, B. Pharma with 100 seats, M. Pharma with 60 seats & Bachelor o Physiotherapy with 50 seats in Centre for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Science.
