IP University Signs MoU With Shodh Chakra To Strengthen Research Ecosystem

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, on Sunday, said that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET), an inter-university centre of the University Grants Commission, to implement Shodh Chakra across the university.
Shodh Chakra is an initiative of INFLIBNET, developed under the guidance of the UGC, to support researchers throughout the research life cycle. The platform brings research scholars, supervisors, and universities onto a single digital system to manage processes such as registration, progress tracking, supervision, and documentation.
According to Prof Nimisha Sharma, Director of the University’s Research and Development Cell, the R&D office, in collaboration with the Shodh Chakra Help Desk, recently organised an online training programme for PhD scholars and supervisors to familiarise them with the platform.
She said all PhD supervisors and research scholars are required to register on the Shodh Chakra portal and complete the necessary details to access its benefits. The university has informed all its schools and centres about the rollout.
Vice-Chancellor Padma Shri Prof (Dr) Mahesh Verma said the MoU is expected to strengthen the research culture at the university by bringing greater structure, transparency, and efficiency to academic research.
