JAIN Online Launches 5-day FDP On Research Methods, Analytics And AI

Share

JAIN Online, the e-learning division of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), in collaboration with the university’s IQAC, is going to host a five-day online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Advanced Research Methods: Analytics, Innovation and AI from 16 to 20 November 2026. The programme will be conducted entirely online, and registration closes on 10 November 2026.

The FDP is open to faculty members, research scholars, postgraduate students, industry professionals and independent researchers, including international participants.

The programme takes participants through the full research journey, from framing a problem and writing a proposal to advanced data analysis, interpretation, academic writing and AI-enabled research practice. Sessions are practical and application-oriented, with hands-on exposure to SPSS, AMOS, R and Python. Core topics include research design, measurement and data preparation, Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Structural Equation Modelling, and publication-oriented writing.

Commenting on the programme, Dr N. V. H. Krishnan, Advisor at JAIN Online and Member, Chancellor’s Advisory Board, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), said, “Conducting research today is more complex than simply mastering a single method. It requires design sensibilities, analytical and ethical judgment, and prudence in using AI. This program intertwines these elements and others in an integrated pathway, led by researchers and program leaders who demonstrate the art of research through practice. We aim to strengthen our participants’ capacity to produce research work that is methodologically sound and ready for publication.”

Participants will learn from ten expert mentors drawn from institutions such as the University of Hyderabad, NIT Warangal, IIIT Kottayam, C-DAC Bengaluru, BIMTECH and the University of the People (USA). The programme opens on 16 November with an inaugural address by Dr Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Vice-Chancellor (I/C) and Registrar, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), and a keynote by Dr Manav Saxena, Director of CREI, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

The programme will conclude on 20 November with a panel discussion titled “From Generative AI to Agentic AI in Research: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions”, moderated by Dr Sumit Kumar, HoD, ECE, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). The discussion will examine how emerging AI technologies are shaping research practices, the opportunities they present, and the challenges researchers need to consider as AI becomes more integrated into academic work.
