Share

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has finally released the date of publication of the eagerly awaited BPSC 70th Mains admit card 2025. According to the latest notification by the Commission, the main exam admit card will be available for download from April 12, 2025. Candidates who have passed the preliminary stage of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) can download their admit cards by accessing the official BPSC websites—https://bpsc.bih.nic.in/ or https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in/. They will have to log in using the login credentials, i.e., the username and password provided at the time of registration to download the admit card.

The admit card of BPSC is an important document carrying all necessary details of the candidate and the examination. It will have the candidate’s name, roll number, date of the examination, timing, and venue, as well as essential exam day instructions. Applicants are requested to carefully verify all the information listed on the admit card and report any discrepancy to the BPSC authorities immediately. The Commission has requested candidates to contact for correction at least a week prior to the examination so that they do not face any inconvenience.

In a crucial update mentioned in the BPSC notice dated April 9, 2025, all candidates appearing for the exam must bring not one, but two copies of the admit card to the exam center. One such copy must be pre-signed by the candidate. In addition to the admit card, a valid government photo identity card is necessary for entry into the exam hall. The Commission has put strict guidelines on the fact that no late entries will be allowed under any situation. Thus, candidates are requested to arrive at their respective centres in advance on the examination dates.

Though the admit card will be out on April 12, information on the exam centre code will separately be released on April 22, 2025. This is likely an attempt to ensure security and transparency, as BPSC has become more security-conscious after the controversies surrounding exams in the past.

BPSC 70th CCE Mains 2025 exams are to be held on five different dates – April 25, 26, 28, 29, and 30. This is an important step for all those candidates who are competing for selection against one of the 2,035 vacant posts of different departments of the government of Bihar state. The Mains examination is descriptive in nature, which makes it different from the preliminary stage of 150 multiple-choice questions. Candidates who pass in the Mains examination will appear for the final interview phase, which is worth 120 marks.

It is interesting to note that the BPSC 70th CCE Preliminary exam was conducted on December 13, 2024. But because of a suspected paper leak at the Bapu Examination Complex in Patna, a re-exam was organized for candidates from that specific centre on January 4, 2025. This had been done to maintain fairness and ensure the credibility of the examination process.

The BPSC CCE is a highly revered competitive exam held in Bihar, through which candidates are provided with a chance to work in different administrative positions across the state. The process of selection involves three tough phases—Prelims, Mains, and Interview. All the three phases are extremely crucial in the process of shortlisting candidates on the basis of knowledge, writing skill, and personality evaluation. Since the Mains is descriptive, candidates are required to submit answers in an analytical and structured form, reflecting depth of knowledge as well as expression.

Since the competition is high in the examination and every phase is crucial, the aspirants are reminded strongly that they must ensure they are well prepared for the descriptive papers. Equally significant is strict compliance with all directions prescribed by BPSC. Instructions on the day of the examination, such as items that have to be carried necessarily, the disallowance of electronic devices, and other security measures, are clearly indicated on the admit card and must be strictly followed.

For all future updates and official announcements, candidates must visit the official websites on a regular basis. With the admit card release date approaching, candidates are advised to remain vigilant and make all the necessary preparations to have a smooth and successful examination experience.
