The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in its Board of Studies (Academic), has released the introduction of free Live Virtual Revisionary Classes (LVRC) for students appearing for the CA Final exams in September 2025. The initiative aims to give students a thorough revision experience, reinforcing their preparation with concentrated content review, instant doubt clarification, and expert advice. These live classes are to be started from May 14, 2025, and will be held online to reach students all over India and the world.

To cater to the varied time-tables of CA Final exam aspirants, the ICAI has scheduled these classes both during the morning and evening times. The morning sessions will be held between 7 am and 10 am, whereas the evening sessions will be held between 6 pm and 9 pm. The LVRC will have a well-organized schedule, where every paper will be assigned particular days of the week for revision. This is aimed at giving a concentrated and streamlined approach to preparation, addressing the varying time preferences of students.

The schedule for the revision sessions is as under:

Paper 1, Financial Reporting, will be conducted in the morning sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from May 14, 2025. Paper 2, Advanced Financial Management, will be conducted in the morning sessions but on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from May 15, 2025. For Paper 3, Advanced Auditing, Assurance & Professional Ethics, the morning sessions will be on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from June 14, 2025. Paper 4, Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation, will be conducted in the evening sessions on Tuesday and Thursday from May 15, 2025. Lastly, Paper 5, Indirect Tax Laws, will be conducted in the evening sessions on Monday and Wednesday from May 14, 2025.

The LVRC classes are planned to improve students’ exam preparedness by providing an in-depth study of every subject, with emphasis on high-impact material that is important for the CA Final exams. The classes intend to provide an interactive learning experience, wherein students can directly interact with the faculty through live Zoom sessions. This format not only facilitates students to clear their doubts in real-time but also ensures that they are given personalized guidance and feedback to meet their unique requirements.

To cater to diverse learning needs, the ICAI will provide recorded versions of the sessions so that students can re-watch lectures and review at their own convenience. These video lectures will also allow the flexibility required for students who may miss a session or would rather review the lessons several times. Along with the live and video sessions, students will be given additional study materials such as notes, assignments, and multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that are designed to reinforce the topics covered in each session.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the LVRC is its focus on exam strategy and time management. Since CA Final exams are well-known for being tough, these revision classes will also lay equal stress on preparing students to come up with smart strategies to effectively manage their time in the exam, maximize their performance, and tackle the paper strategically. As much as it is content revision, these classes are aimed at preparing students for how to face the exam with confidence and ease.

Students will have several options for access to the revisionary classes from different ICAI platforms.
