Expected to declare the results of the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025 during the last week of June, the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) signal a major turning point for thousands of would-be scientists all across the country. Applicants who access the official admissions portal, iiseradmission. in, with their registered credentials will have access to the rank cards. Before the final answer key is created, candidate comments on the preliminary key distributed earlier will be considered and results then published. On May 25, 2025, the IISER IAT 2025 was administered online at several testing sites all throughout India. Sixty multiple-choice questions split equally across the four subjects—mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology—constituted the three-hour exam. Four points were awarded for every correct response; one point off was deducted for every erroneous one. 240 was the ultimate score. On the same day as the exam, the provisional answer key was made public. Comments were to be received by June 1, 2025. Candidates could point out any discrepancies in the answers during this session. IISER officials will release the results as soon as the official answer key is made public. Important data on the rank card will include the candidate’s name, roll number, total score, All India Rank (AIR), and category-specific ranking. The ranking will much affect the applicant’s admission eligibility to the several IISERs throughout the country that provide BS-MS double degree, BS in Economic Sciences, and BS in Engineering Sciences courses. Some IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, and IISERs courses accept the IAT score, which is rather challenging. Candidates need to sign in using their application number and password on the official website in order to see and download the rank card. Because it is required for both the counseling and seat assignment procedure, the rank card must be kept. As soon as the results are made public, seat assignment and internet counseling will start. Applicants will be asked to include their ideal colleges and courses. Your rank, category, and choices will guide your seating in one of the participating universities. Cut-off numbers will be published in addition to the findings. According to historical patterns, candidates in the general category may require between 120 and 130 points out of 240 to be admitted even if the exact cutoffs for 2025 are yet undetermined. While EWS candidates may have a cut-off range of 110 to 120, OBC-NCL candidates may need between 65 and 75 points to be eligible. IISER Berhampur and IISER Tirupati could have somewhat lower cutoffs than other IISERs as demand and intake capacity vary. Candidates needed to produce necessary papers such their Class 12 mark sheets and present category certificates before the counseling process could start. Delays moved June 16, the original deadline for this document, to June 23. To be regarded as authentic, these certificates have to be given out beyond April 1, 2025. This verification confirms that candidates are qualified for reservation benefits following the rules and satisfy the standards for seat assignment. With around 2,363 seats allocated across the seven IISERs, the IISER IAT 2025 provides entry to these seats through partner institutions. Only applicants that meet or exceed the minimum score and timely finish all required processes will be considered since the number of sites is limited and competition is strong. Once the rank cards and cut-offs are made public, the admissions process will reach a fast and time-sensitive stage. Candidates for changes should regularly visit the official website and be prepared for the following events. For hundreds of budding scientists hoping to start their academic careers at some of the best scientific institutions in the country, the next several days are critical.
