Indian Air Force Group C Recruitment 2025: All the Information You Need on the Application Procedure, Important Dates, and Job Opportunities

Candidates looking for central government positions in a variety of non-combat support functions now have the opportunity to apply for the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Group C recruitment campaign for 2025. According to the formal announcement issued on May 14, 2025, the purpose of the recruitment procedure is to fill 153 openings in positions such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Cook, Typist, Painter, Storekeeper, Carpenter, Mess Staff, Housekeeping Staff, Laundryman, Civil/Mechanical Driver, and Vulcaniser. The application procedure is exclusively offline, with candidates mailing in their completed forms and supporting materials.

The offline application procedure began on May 17, 2025, and candidates are urged to make sure that their applications arrive at the specified IAF office by June 15, 2025. Paying attention to detail is essential during this recruiting step because submitting an incomplete or erroneous form or missing the deadline may lead to disqualification.

Applicants must first go to the official Indian Air Force website, indianairforce.nic.in, where the application form under Advertisement Number 1/2025 may be downloaded. After downloading, candidates must complete all the required information about their personal, educational, and category information in a legible and thorough manner. As mistakes or illegible handwriting might result in rejection, it is imperative that the form be completed correctly and neatly.

Candidates are also required to compile a collection of supporting materials in addition to the application. Among these are a caste or category certificate for applicants applying under any reserved category, a proof of identity (such as an Aadhaar card or PAN card), and self-attested photocopies of educational qualification certificates. Additionally, one recent, passport-sized picture must be mounted in accordance with the instructions. The IAF has made it clear that applications that are incomplete or that lack necessary documentation will not be considered.

The necessity for a self-addressed envelope is a singular feature of this application procedure. The application details must be clearly displayed on the document, and candidates must add a Rs 10 postage stamp to it. The envelope should be labeled: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______ AND CATEGORY ______ AGAINST Adv. No. 1/2025.” The recruitment authorities must adhere to this format exactly to prevent any confusion or misplacement while processing the applications.

Candidates should submit their applications to the address mentioned in the official announcement after finishing all procedures. The notification lists the precise postal address, but candidates are advised to confirm it before submitting their materials. A separate application and envelope must be submitted for each post for candidates who are applying for many roles.

It is also recommended that applicants maintain a duplicate of the finished application form, together with the postal receipt or evidence of delivery, as a record. This will act as a point of contact for any future correspondence with the IAF about the application.

The selection process will start with a written test. Only those candidates who fulfill the qualifying criteria and have all of their paperwork in order will be invited to sit the written exam. The subject of this test will be the candidates’ knowledge of topics pertinent to the position for which they have applied. The written test’s pass rate may be contingent upon additional steps, such as a skills test or a physical endurance test, depending on the nature of the job. For example, positions like Civil or Mechanical Driver may need a driving test, but MTS roles may include physical efficiency elements.

Candidates are urged to keep current by visiting the official Indian Air Force website and making sure their applications follow the given instructions to the letter. It is imperative to act well in advance of the deadline because the offline character of the procedure leaves no opportunity for technical mistakes or last-minute entries.

This recruitment effort is a great chance for those who want to work in a non-uniformed position for one of India’s most esteemed defense forces. The IAF Group C recruitment program includes roles in clerical and other specialized trades, giving participants the chance to make a valuable contribution to national defense operations through administrative and support functions.
