JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Begins, Answer Key And Analysis Soon

Share

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 has finally begun, with students taking one of the most sought-after engineering entrance examinations in the nation. Organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA), this exam is a portal through which aspiring engineers wish to gain admission in highly esteemed institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other centrally funded technical institutions.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 is being held over several days, namely April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9. On April 4, the test is being held in two shifts—Shift 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Candidates are required to adhere to stringent guidelines, such as arriving at their exam centers on time and bringing necessary documents, to ensure a hassle-free and smooth experience.

The National Testing Agency has issued admit cards for all the exams scheduled, which can be downloaded from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. On the exam day, candidates are required to bring their JEE Main admit card, a recent passport-size photograph, and a valid government-issued photo ID. These are required for verification and entry into the exam hall. Candidates are requested to read the instructions provided on the admit card carefully to avoid any last-minute confusion.

According to preliminary reports, those who have already taken the exam have expressed varied responses to the level of difficulty. Most of the candidates felt that Mathematics was the toughest part, with problem-solving being lengthy and requiring both time and accuracy. Physics was found to be moderately difficult, with a combination of conceptual and numerical problems. Chemistry, however, was considered the simplest part, with most of the questions being simple and based on memory. These are in agreement with trends in past years, where Mathematics has always been the most challenging subject for most students.

After the completion of the exam, subject matter experts and education analysts will publish a comprehensive paper analysis and an unofficial answer key. These tools will assist students in evaluating their performance and approximating their scores before the actual results are announced. Coaching centers and educational websites will probably give a section-wise analysis of the paper, analyzing the type of questions, weightage of various topics, and probable cutoff trends.

To ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination, stringent rules have been implemented with respect to objects that candidates are not allowed to bring into the examination hall. Electronic devices like mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, cameras, and tape recorders are strictly prohibited. Candidates are also forbidden from bringing stationery materials like pencil boxes, instrument boxes, or geometry boxes, since the exam is in a computer-based mode. Loose papers, personal notes, and any unauthorized material are all prohibited.

Edible items and liquids, such as water bottles, tea, coffee, and cold beverages, are not allowed to be taken inside the examination hall. Personal items like purses, wallets, handbags, and metallic devices are also forbidden. These policies are enforced in order to eliminate any cases of malpractice and provide a legitimate examination process to all aspirants. Candidates have to follow these rules and guidelines provided by invigilators to prevent any problems that might result in disqualification.

With hundreds of students competing for scarce seats in the best engineering colleges, JEE Main is still a pivotal step in their educational journey. Performance here decides eligibility for JEE Advanced, the second level of test for those seeking admission to the IITs. Competition is stiff, and candidates spend months—sometimes years—preparing for this test through intense study routines, coaching classes, and mock tests.

As the exam continues over the next few days, students will be waiting with bated breath for the answer key and paper analysis to be released so that they can assess their performance. The NTA will then release the official answer key, and candidates will be able to challenge any discrepancies before the final results are declared. This transparency in assessment ensures that students get fair and accurate marks.

The next few weeks will be tense for JEE Main hopefuls as they look forward to their results and judge their possibilities of getting a seat in JEE Advanced or admission in premier engineering colleges through JEE Main ranks. By prudent preparation, wise time management, and adherence to exam day guidelines, students can enhance their possibilities of success in this extremely competitive examination.
