The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will soon release the admit card for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2025. The exam is the key to unlocking admission to BTech and BPharma courses in the state. The admit cards of the candidates who have enrolled for the exam will be available for download on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, using the application number and password.
The admit card will contain important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, and time, along with the subject papers and the address of the exam centre. It will also include necessary guidelines that candidates must follow during the examination. As the exam dates approach, candidates must ensure they download and print their admit cards well in advance to avoid any last-minute issues.
This year, the MHT CET test for BTech admissions is going to take place from April 19 to April 27, while applicants who are seeking admission into BPharma courses will appear for the test from April 9 to April 17. The test will be conducted in two shifts daily. The morning shift is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the afternoon shift will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must verify their admit cards to determine the precise date and time of their test.
MHT CET 2025 will be held in online computer-based mode. The pattern of the examination differs based on the stream for which the candidate has opted. Candidates appearing for engineering courses will find two sections in their question paper—Section 1 will comprise Physics and Chemistry and Section 2 will be for Mathematics. In the same way, for the pharmacy stream students, Section 2 will have Biology in place of Mathematics. The question paper shall include a total of 150 questions. For different subjects, the marking scheme varies. One mark will be allotted to each correct answer in the case of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, whereas correct answers in Mathematics will gain two marks. Importantly, no negative marking, which guarantees that test-takers can try all the questions without worrying about losing marks for wrong answers.
The test will be administered in several languages to suit students with varied backgrounds. Mathematics alone will be in English, but the Physics and Chemistry papers will be provided in English, Urdu, and Marathi. The multilingual strategy has been adopted to provide ease for students belonging to various linguistic populations.
On the examination day, candidates are required to bring a printout of their admit card as well as an original government-approved ID proof like an Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, or passport. These documents alone would allow entry into the exam centre. The candidates would also need to arrive at the exam centre early in order to get the verification done and settle down before the start of the exam.
Since the MHT CET is an important examination for students aspiring to get admission into professional courses in Maharashtra, the candidates must remain current with the latest notifications issued on the official website. The announcement of the admit card is an integral part of the exam process, and the candidates should ensure that they download it in time, cross-check all the details, and prepare accordingly for the forthcoming test.
