MHT CET 2025 PCM Results Out, Toppers List Revealed

Share

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell in Maharashtra announced the results of the Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM) segment of the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2025 this morning. Around 6 p.m. IST on June 16, 2025, the announcement was made, giving candidates the chance to directly access their unique scorecards through the official portal cetcell.mahacet.org.

More than 422,863 students—about 4.2 lakh—took part in the PCM portion, which ran from April 19 to April 27, 2025, during an academic year full with expectation. To guarantee inclusive engagement, an extra retest was conducted on May 5 for around 27,837 students. All competitors anticipate receiving their scorecards, which contain important information for navigating Maharashtra’s centralized counseling procedure, such as aggregate scores, subject-wise percentiles, overall India rank, and qualification status.

The PCB (Physics-Chemistry-Biology) group will also receive their results on June 17, confirming the two-day staggered release plan in addition to the PCM cohort. Candidates for the PCB—who have about 282,737 participants and about 301,072 registered—should anticipate that their results will align with those of the PCM group, continuing to provide a stable framework for counselling eligibility.

The MHT CET series underwent a distinctive revision procedure this year. The CET Cell discovered 39 incorrect questions after finalizing and publishing answer keys, with a notable 28 errors in the Mathematics area. To maintain fairness and have a favorable effect on final percentiles, candidates will be awarded extra marks for each incorrect question in response to this choice.

Leading the charge for academic excellence, the PCM declaration announced that 22 candidates had reached the prestigious 100-percentile threshold, an amazing accomplishment that allowed them to share the top spot. A special section of the portal, available to all candidates, includes the names of the winners from this esteemed list. The report also includes registration information, percentile distributions, and comparative analyses with prior years. These insights indicate both the degree of rivalry and new scholarly trends.

With scorecards in hand, attention quickly shifts to the counseling phase. Based on the PCM results, the CET Cell is predicted to tentatively initiate the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for engineering and related technical courses in July 2025. Candidates’ merit positions in these results will determine admission to colleges throughout Maharashtra, including well-known engineering institutions like VJTI Mumbai, COEP Pune, and MIT-WPU.

Retrieving the results requires a specific procedure and precise execution. Candidates must access the official portal using their application number or registered email address, along with their password or date of birth. Links titled “PCM Group – June 16, 2025” or “PCB Group – June 17, 2025” will be available for download after authentication is completed successfully. Candidates are highly encouraged to print and save their PDF scorecards as soon as possible, since these will be essential papers during counselling.

The examination format for this year kept its typical structure: it was based on MCQs, lasted one hour per subject (for a total of 100 marks), awarded one mark for each correct answer, and had no negative marking. Percentile scores were computed with great decimal place accuracy after a fair normalization procedure was used during post-exam evaluation to reduce variations in difficulty.

The CET Cell also announced the final date clarifications: PCM results will be released on June 16, PCB results will be released on June 17, and counselling alerts will be expected in July. This transparent schedule allows candidates to expect future admission procedures and plan appropriately.

The CET Cell’s dedication to increased access is also highlighted by the introduction of additional CET for BBA, BCA, BMS, and BBM programs this month. Students who missed the first session or wish to improve their scores will also gain from the extra test. This supplementary exercise, which will be scored toward fairness across professional course admissions, is a step forward in fairness.

One thing is clear as Maharashtra’s PCM candidates celebrate their results and PCB candidates prepare for the decision tomorrow: the 2025 MHT CET season marks the start of a critical time in students’ educational paths. The next obstacle is navigating the complicated counseling system, institutional selections, and seat selection, all of which will determine their professional futures.

The gateway is still cetcell.mahacet.org for anyone eager to see their results right now. Simply log in, get the scorecard, and prepare for the CAP procedure, which will determine the future course of education in Maharashtra.
