MHT CET 2025 Results Declared For PCM And PCB Groups

Share

The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra has officially declared the results for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2025. This year’s results encompass both streams—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). Candidates who appeared for the entrance exams can now check and download their individual scorecards from the official portal at cetcell.mahacet.org.

The MHT CET is one of Maharashtra’s most crucial entrance exams, serving as the gateway to various undergraduate professional degree courses in engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture offered by colleges across the state. This year, the exam was held in two major groups to cater to aspirants from both engineering and health science backgrounds. The PCB group examination was conducted from April 9 to April 17, 2025, while the PCM group had its test window open between April 19 and May 5, 2025.

This year saw an impressive turnout of candidates. For the PCB group, a total of 3,01,072 candidates had registered, and 2,82,737 of them appeared for the test. On the other hand, the PCM group had 4,64,263 registered candidates, of which 4,22,863 actually took the test. The consistently high turnout highlights the growing importance of MHT CET as a pivotal academic milestone for students seeking higher education in technical and health science disciplines.

The entrance test was structured to evaluate the conceptual understanding of students in core science subjects. It was a 60-minute-long paper comprising multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and carried a maximum of 100 marks. A key relief for students this year was the absence of negative marking for incorrect answers, allowing them to attempt all questions without the fear of penalty for guessing.

In the lead-up to the results, the State CET Cell had released the provisional answer keys—on May 18 for the PCB group and on May 21 for the PCM group. These answer keys provided students with a chance to cross-check their responses and raise objections in case of discrepancies. Following the objection process, the authorities acknowledged that 40 objections were found to be valid. As a result, candidates were awarded full marks for the affected questions, which in turn could significantly influence percentile rankings for many students.

The release of the results marks a major milestone in the MHT CET 2025 cycle, but it is far from the end of the process. With results now out, the State CET Cell is set to commence the centralised admission counselling (CAP) process. This counselling procedure is expected to take place in three rounds, where eligible candidates will be invited to participate and select their preferred colleges and courses. Seat allotment will follow, based on the merit list, reservation norms, and candidates’ preferences.

The MHT CET 2025 scorecard is an essential document and includes key details such as the candidate’s full name, parents’ names, application number, subject group (PCM or PCB), category, subject-wise percentile scores, and aggregate percentile score. Candidates are advised to download and keep a secure copy of the scorecard for future reference during the counselling and admission phases.

To access their results, candidates must visit the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. Once on the homepage, they should navigate to the results section for either the PCM or PCB group, as applicable. After clicking on the relevant link, candidates are required to enter their registered email ID and password to log in and view their result. The system will then display the scorecard, which can be downloaded and printed for use in the subsequent admission process.

As the focus now shifts to the counselling rounds, students are encouraged to remain updated with further announcements on the official website. Details such as the counselling schedule, document verification requirements, and college choice submissions will be released shortly by the CET Cell.

The MHT CET continues to play a vital role in shaping the academic futures of thousands of students across Maharashtra. With the results now available, aspirants can take the next step toward securing seats in prestigious institutions and embarking on their chosen professional pathways.
