The NSO is one of the Olympiads organized by the SOF, and some of the other Olympiads are International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), International English Olympiad (IEO), International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO), International Social Studies Olympiad (ISSO), International Hindi Olympiad (IHO), and International Computer Olympiad (ICO). These Olympiads are intended to encourage the competitive spirit of students and test their potential in various fields, which is why they are considered a significant component of any enrichment curriculum across the globe.

For the NSO 2024-25, level 1 exams were taken on December 3, 2024 for set C and answer key is given on 24th of December 2024. So much-awaited results have been announced on January 2, 2025. The students may login to SOF website through ‘NSO 2024-25 Results’, where it may check your roll number as well as enter your details along with it in order to retrieve their result. Participants are expected to download or print their result for future references.

The selection criteria for NSO are basic, hence covering a wide age group. The level 1 exam is open to students in any class ranging from 1 to 12 provided they attend a school accredited by SOF. There are no other criteria but this basic qualification. But this is only for classes 3 to 12, because there is no level 2 exam for class 1 and 2. Class-wise, the top 5% of students from the level 1 exam qualify for the level 2 round that provides a further platform for the showcasing of skills.

The NSO level 2 exam is scheduled for February 2025, and the answer key will be out shortly after the examination. The final results for level 2 will be declared in March 2025, which will mark the end of the 2024-25 cycle of NSO.
