Manipur Class X Result 2025: Boys Outperform Girls

Share

The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) officially announced the results for Class X High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam for the year 2025. The performance reveals an impressive record for boys, who have surpassed girls, with a pass rate of 91.50%. Girls, as a comparison, had a narrow 91.24%, indicating a slight difference in performance between sexes.

The overall percentage of passes among all schools is 91.37%, and this is a good reflection of the academic performance of the state. Among the various types of schools, the private schools showed the highest pass percentage of 94.15%, with 25,734 students passing out of 27,332 students who appeared for the exam. Government-aided schools too performed well, with a pass percentage of 91.38%, where 1,207 students appeared and 1,103 passed. In government schools, 8,404 candidates appeared, with 6,918 passing the test, having a pass percentage of 82.32%.

One of the most significant features of this year’s results is the outstanding performance of Chandel district, which has achieved a perfect pass percentage of 100%. This is a wonderful record for the district, reflecting the high level of academic dedication. Other districts of the state also did well, with Bishnupur achieving a pass percentage of 96.67%, Kakching 95.52%, and Churachandpur with 94.44%. The outcomes are an indication of the commitment of the students and the efforts of the schools in the region.

But not all students succeeded in their effort. Nine students had their results withheld owing to particular reasons. The roll numbers of these students are 10853, 12189, 14231, 17422, 18989, 23385, 23708, 41317, and 41323. The reasons for withholding the results were not announced immediately, but these students will probably have to sort out the problems before the release of their results.

For those dissatisfied with their performance or feel that there has been a mistake in the assessment, an opportunity for re-scrutiny of their answer scripts has been offered by the Board. The facility of re-scrutiny will be open from May 15 to May 30, 2025, on payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 2,100 for each subject. It is worth mentioning that re-scrutiny does not involve the re-evaluation or re-examination of the answer scripts but is merely an examination of the existing evaluation. Students who wish to re-scrutinize their papers need to make sure that they submit the required forms and fees within the given time period since no applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Where students have not passed the exam, they can reappear in the HSLC exam in 2026 as regular candidates. Such students can be re-admitted to Class X in their own school within 45 days from the date of the declaration of the results. Schools are to submit the names of newly admitted students to the Board within 60 days. The internal marks for these students will be entered into their application forms as part of the re-admission process.

Students who have cleared the exam need to have achieved a minimum of 33% marks in all subjects to be eligible. This is a common requirement for all students to clear the examination successfully. Students who have failed to achieve the necessary criteria will be required to sit for the compartment exams, which will be conducted shortly. The dates for these exams will be released on the official BSEM website.

To verify their results, students can log on to the official websites – manresults.nic.in or bsem.nic.in. After reaching the homepage, they can click on the link for Manipur Class X board exam results. After providing their roll number and registration number, they will be able to view their result. Students must take a printout of the result for future use because it may be needed for subsequent procedures like admissions to higher secondary schools or other schools.

2025 Class X Manipur results depict the efforts of the teachers and students alike. The state has registered overall improvement in academic achievement with significant differences in different districts. Chandel’s 100% and other districts such as Bishnupur, Kakching, and Churachandpur performing well, depict the rising educational standards in Manipur.

These findings are important not only for the students who are continuing to higher studies but also for the entire education system of the state. The favorable trends in private and government-aided schools are a promising indication of the future academic progress, and the high pass rates in several districts indicate that every effort is being taken to ensure good education throughout the state.

While students and parents rejoice over the achievement of their hard labor, the option of re-scrutiny and re-admission provisions cater to those who failed so they can continue chasing their academic aspiration in the subsequent year. These results are the culmination of Manipur’s education community’s cooperative effort and constant pursuit of scholastic achievement.
