In our day-to-day life, the finance matters. All the three elements of earning, spending and saving is an art. Learning wealth management is important for an individual and for the country to be a ‘Viksit Bharat’. “Goal setting, laying a good foundation, earmarking an emergency fund, aware of risk factor, power of compounding, diversified investment, etc. are important components of a good wealth management”, said Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU, while addressing the inaugural function of the workshop on Financial Management being organised by the Staff Development Cell of the University here today.

Upgradation of skills is important, with a focus on financial freedom, said Prof. Arvinder Kaur, Chairperson of Staff Development Cell. Dr Sunita Shiva (Registrar – Academics), Mr Narendra Tyagi (Controller of Finance), Mr Anshul Gupta (subject expert) also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Anuradha Chug, Coordinator of Staff Development Cell informed that 48 non – teaching staff of various departments of the University are undertaking this two – day workshop on Financial Management.
