ICSI CSEET 2025 Registration Window Closing Soon

Share

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will soon close the window for registration for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) 2025. The candidates who are keen on embarking on a career as a Company Secretary should make sure that they finish the registration procedure by April 15, 2025. The entrance test for the May 2025 session is to take place on May 3, 2025. Students interested in appearing for the examination can check the official ICSI site or login via the SMASH portal at smash.icsi.edu and apply before the set deadline.

The CSEET is a compulsory qualifying examination for the majority of candidates applying for the CS Executive Programme. It serves as the initial step towards a career in company secretarial practice. Certain exemptions, however, exist. Students who have cleared the ICSI Foundation Programme, or the final exams of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), need not write the CSEET. Such candidates are eligible to write the CS Executive Programme directly without sitting for the entrance examination.

To be eligible for the CSEET May 2025, candidates should have passed or should be appearing for their Class XII examinations. This provides an opportunity for school-leaving students who want to start their path to becoming certified Company Secretaries. Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks and postgraduates are also eligible for direct entry into the CS Executive Programme, providing a convenient route for higher education students.

During the registration process, the candidates are asked to have a few documents ready in the scanned form. These include a passport-size recent photograph, scanned signature, and Class 10 pass certificate, which will be required for the verification of the date of birth of the candidate. Individuals still appearing for Class XII examinations can upload their hall ticket or admit card, and those already clearing Class XII will have to produce a marksheet or pass certificate. A candidate applying in the reserved category needs to also upload a category certificate to enjoy concession in applicable fees. Legitimate identity proof is also required, and the acceptable documents are an Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID card, PAN card, driving license, or ration card.

The whole process of registration is carried out online to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience for the applicants. To apply, candidates should go to the ICSI official website and search for the CSEET May 2025 registration link. They will then need to enter personal and academic information and attach the required documents. After all details are entered and confirmed, candidates are required to pay the application fee via one of the online payment options. Following inspection of all details, the application form can then be submitted and the applicants prompted to download and preserve the confirmation page for any future use.

The CSEET is also significant in mapping the careers of thousands of budding Company Secretaries annually. The examination checks the understanding of key principles of business communication, legal aptitude, logical reasoning, economic and business environment, and current affairs on candidates to equip them with all necessary preparation to tackle the forthcoming challenges in the CS Executive Programme.

With the deadline approaching, candidates are encouraged not to procrastinate their application process and be sure that all required documents are ready beforehand to avert last-minute technical problems or mistakes. While the CSEET is the opening door to a reputable and fulfilling career in business compliance, company law, and corporate governance, prompt registration is the initial step towards making professional dreams a reality.
