Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, has extended the application deadline for its International Dual Degree Program in collaboration with AGH University of Krakow, Poland. Aspiring students now have until February 10 to apply for the prestigious Dual Degree Master of Science in Digital Production for Sustainable Manufacturing, which is set to commence in March 2025.
The program, designed for the academic session 2025–2026, is unique in its approach to providing students with global exposure in the field of sustainable manufacturing and digital production. One of the most important highlights of this collaboration is its affordability. Students are required to pay only the tuition fees applicable at GGSIPU, eliminating the financial burden of paying additional European tuition fees, which makes this program an attractive option for many.
The four-semester program has been designed in such a manner that it provides an enriching international academic experience. The first two semesters would be completed at AGH University in Krakow, Poland, and the final two semesters would be at GGSIPU’s New Delhi campus in India. This combination of global exposure and local expertise is to equip students with a holistic understanding of sustainable manufacturing practices while integrating cutting-edge digital production techniques.
Graduates from all disciplines are offered eligibility to join if they have also achieved 60% marks throughout. Candidates ought to have had their exposure to course completed in Mathematics/Statistics, or Economics/operations research during or before their previous education. Screening of applicants and the decision takes place by assigning a weight-age of 70% for scores of graduation examinations and the other 30% to a Personal Interview.
The curriculum would focus on practice learning and preparation for industry application, thereby giving students an up-to-date ready-to-join the ever-evolving demands of the global manufacturing sector. A major emphasis within the program has been sustainable manufacturing, which today is increasingly popular in industries wanting to maintain both environmental sustainability as well as maximum production efficiency. Digital production ensures that the technical skills to assimilate technologies, such as automation, artificial intelligence, and analytics, are implemented in the actual manufacturing process.
By offering this dual degree program, GGSIPU and AGH University aim to produce a new generation of professionals who are not only adept at addressing the challenges of the manufacturing sector but also committed to contributing to sustainable development goals. Upon completion, students will receive dual degrees, separately awarded by both GGSIPU and AGH University, further enhancing their global employability.
The collaboration between these two universities puts forward the need for internationalization in higher education, especially in a field like sustainable manufacturing. As one of the leading technical universities in Poland, AGH University of Krakow is known to be an apex institution in fields of engineering and technology. As a result of collaboration with such a prestigious Indian institution as GGSIPU, the best of both can be offered by the program and given to its students.
The program will attract graduates from diverse fields and allow them to dive into sustainable manufacturing practices and digital innovation. This program is one of the promising pathways for students in terms of getting a competitive edge in their careers, considering the increasing demand for skilled professionals in these areas worldwide.
Interested candidates can refer to the websites of both universities for detailed information about the program and the admission brochure. The extension of the deadline up to February 10 gives ample time to the aspiring candidates to prepare their applications and avail of this opportunity to acquire international exposure and expertise in this fast-changing field.
