JEE Advanced 2025 Schedule Released By IIT Kanpur

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur released an official information brochure regarding the exam for JEE Advanced 2025 through its official website. It has announced that the prestigious gateway examination will be held in computer-based mode on May 18, 2025.

JEE Advanced is conducted each year for students aspiring to gain admission to undergraduate programs offered by IITs, that have a reputation for the highest quality of engineering and technology education. The examination is scheduled to be divided into two sessions, it has been mentioned in the brochure that Paper 1 will be conducted between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon and Paper 2 between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.

The registration process for JEE Advanced 2025 begins on April 23, 2025, and will go up to May 2, 2025. Candidates must pay the fees by May 5, 2025. Downloading of admit cards will start from May 11, 2025. The provisional answer key of the exam will be provided on May 26, 2025, and the candidates can raise objections after this date. The final results, along with the final answer key, will be announced on June 2, 2025.

Applicants qualifying for JEE Advanced 2025 would have to fulfill certain qualifications. These include candidates having been born on or after October 1, 2000. There is five years age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories. They must have had the first appearance in either of the years 2024 or 2025 at the Class XII or equivalent examination level. The number of attempts is limited to two, and candidates who have previously accepted admission at any of the IITs under JoSAA are barred from applying.

Another important eligibility criterion is being a candidate in the top 2,50,000 list of the BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2025. It creates a very tough competition with the need for a stringent preparation process.

The application fee has been categorized for Indian and foreign nationals. For Indian nationals, the female candidates of all categories and SC/ST/PwD candidates will have to pay ₹1,600, whereas for other candidates, it will be ₹3,200. Candidates from SAARC countries must pay $200, while candidates from non-SAARC countries must pay $400.

In line with inclusive examination practices, a candidate with at least 40% disability will be granted one extra hour of compensatory time for every paper.

Candidates who wish to stand out in JEE Advanced 2025 are advised to start early. IIT Kanpur encourages students to follow the official website of JEE Advanced regularly for all the updates and use authentic study materials and mock tests provided. The detailed syllabus outlined in the brochure would help them design their proper strategy for preparation.
