This premier national-level engineering entrance exam is being conducted for candidates aspiring to secure admission into BE/BTech (Paper 1) and BArch/BPlanning (Paper 2) programs across the country.
The examination for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will take place over different days: for Paper 1, it is from January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29; while Paper 2 is scheduled on January 30. Both days have two sessions: morning and afternoon, each from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM respectively.
Ahead of the exams, the NTA has made it mandatory for all candidates to download their JEE Main 2025 admit card. The admit card is a crucial document that must be carried to the examination center, as candidates will not be permitted to enter without it. The NTA has advised students to preferably take a color printout of their admit cards for better clarity and ease of verification. Additionally, candidates must bring a government-issued photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar, PAN, or any other valid ID, along with a passport-size photograph. The photograph should match the one uploaded during the application process.
To access the admit card, candidates need to visit the official JEE Main website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. By using their application number and password or date of birth, they can log in to download their hall ticket. The NTA has already released admit cards for candidates appearing on January 22, 23, and 24, while admit cards for the remaining exam dates—January 28, 29, and 30—are expected to be released shortly.
The admit card also provides vital instructions and guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. Candidates are strictly advised to follow these guidelines to avoid disqualification or inconvenience. As per the instructions, only items explicitly listed on the admit card are permitted inside the examination hall. Blank sheets of paper for unaided, rough work during the examination in the examination hall. Candidates shall write their names and roll numbers on these and submit them with the admit card to the invigilator at the conclusion of the exam.
Special provisions have been made for diabetic students, who are allowed to carry eatables such as sugar tablets, fruits, and a transparent water bottle. However, packed or processed food items are strictly prohibited. All candidates must sit at their assigned seats and appear only at their designated exam center, as requests for changing the venue will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Punctuality is critical on exam day. Candidates must arrive at the examination center well in advance, as entry will be prohibited once the exam begins. Similarly, no candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the official end time. Additional restrictions include a ban on wearing watches and bringing electronic devices or unauthorized materials into the examination hall.
The NTA has also emphasized that the admit card serves as an essential document throughout the examination process. Candidates without their admit cards will not be allowed to take the test. To avoid last-minute issues, students are urged to check the details on their admit cards carefully, including their name, roll number, exam center, and timings.
For candidates yet to download their admit cards, the process is straightforward. They need to visit the official JEE Main website, click on the admit card download link, and log in using their credentials. Once logged in, the link to download the admit card will be displayed. Students should promptly download the document and ensure a hard copy is printed for examination day.
