Mbose SSLC Supplementary Result 2025 Declared

Share

In a significant development for students across Meghalaya, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has officially declared the results for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class X supplementary examination for the year 2025. The announcement was made on May 27, bringing relief and a renewed sense of hope to many students who had appeared for the supplementary exams held earlier this month.

This year, the supplementary examination saw a commendable pass percentage of 80.35%, reflecting the efforts of both students and educators in helping learners bounce back from earlier setbacks. The supplementary exams were conducted in a single shift from May 1 to May 8, 2025. These exams were specifically organized for students who were unable to clear the main board examination that took place earlier this year.

The main SSLC examination for 2025 was held between February 10 and February 21, in a single shift from 10 am to 1 pm. The results of this main examination were declared on April 5, and the board recorded a remarkable pass percentage of 87.10%. This marked a notable improvement over the previous year’s performance, where the pass percentage was significantly lower at 55.80%. The rise in performance over the past year points towards an encouraging trend in the academic standards of the state and the effectiveness of teaching-learning strategies adopted by schools and the education department.

For students who were unable to clear the main examination, the supplementary exams offered a second chance to improve their results and continue their academic journey without losing a year. With the supplementary result now declared, many of these students can look forward to continuing their studies, applying for higher secondary education, or exploring vocational opportunities.

The board has made it clear that the marksheets issued online are provisional. These scorecards will contain all crucial information such as the student’s name, roll number, and detailed subject-wise marks obtained in the supplementary exams. However, to obtain the official and original marksheet, students are required to visit their respective schools. This step ensures that students receive authenticated documents directly through their institutions, maintaining the integrity of the results.

In a related update, MBOSE also declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination 2025 for the Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Arts streams on May 5. Much like the SSLC results, the performance across all HSSLC streams remained strong, with overall pass percentages exceeding 80% in each stream. This consistent academic performance across both Class X and Class XII levels signals steady progress in Meghalaya’s educational outcomes.

It is important for students and parents to note that the Meghalaya Board has announced that the results will not be displayed physically at the Board offices in Tura or Shillong. Instead, all result-related information, including the complete result booklet, can be accessed and downloaded from the board’s official website. This measure is part of the board’s digital initiative aimed at ensuring transparency, accessibility, and convenience for students across the state, especially those in remote areas.

To check the results, students must visit the official websites — megresults.nic.in or mbose.in. On reaching the homepage, students should look for the link titled ‘Results of Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination 2025’. Upon clicking this link, students will be directed to a login page where they must enter their roll number and other required credentials. Once submitted, the supplementary result will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to carefully go through the information provided and download the result for future reference.

The announcement of the SSLC supplementary result concludes a crucial phase in the academic calendar of the Meghalaya Board. With the academic performance showing a positive trajectory and a majority of students clearing both main and supplementary examinations, the focus now shifts to the next steps — higher education admissions, career planning, and continuous improvement in the quality of education. The board, schools, teachers, and parents have all played a vital role in supporting students through these challenges, and the high pass rates are a testament to that collective effort.
