The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the final seat allotment result for the special stray vacancy round of NEET PG counselling 2024. The candidates who took part in this final round of counselling can now view their allotment status on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. This round is the final chance for candidates to get a seat in postgraduate medical courses after all earlier rounds have been conducted.
558 candidates have been given seats in this special stray vacancy round. The seat allotment list contains information like the colleges they have been allocated, specialisation, quota they have been allotted, ranks, and category of the candidates. But the candidates are reminded that the provisional result does not necessarily entitle them to claim the seat they have been allotted. Admission is only final after the final results are announced, and all formalities are completed at the concerned institutions.
Those candidates who have been allotted seats in this round are required to report to their respective institutes between March 13 and March 20, 2025. Failure to report within the specified time may lead to the cancellation of their allotment. While reporting, they need to undergo all admission formalities such as document verification and fee submission. Any failure or delay in fulfilling these conditions may result in forfeiture of the seat, and it could be transferred to other worthy contestants.
Prior to the declaration of final seat allotment, MCC had given candidates a chance to point out any error in the provisional result. Students could report any mistake through an email to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) until March 12, 2025, at noon. This process provides transparency to the seat allotment and gives candidates a chance to correct any probable errors before declaring the final results.
To verify the final seat allotment result, candidates must go to the official MCC website and click on the ‘PG Medical’ tab. There, they must click on the ‘Final Result of Stray Vacancy Round NEET PG 2024’ link, which will display the result in a PDF format. Candidates are recommended to download and save a copy of their final allotment result for future use.
